The popular YouTuber MKBHD shared a video comparing Apple’s debut iPhone in 2007 with the iPhone 11 Pro released last September. Of course, the iPhone 11 Pro is the latest in Apple’s smartphone line, and it doesn’t make sense to compare the hardware features of the first iPhone.
YouTuber actually sheds light on the point and change achieved with the iPhone 11 Pro , comparing video and camera quality, design, features and more. The impressive technology updates that have been implemented over the years no longer surprise us, but it’s still fun to go back to 2007 and see where we came from.
Compared to the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro, the first 3.5-inch iPhone looks almost like a toy because of its small size. One of the most striking differences is the large frames of the first iPhone. Nowadays we understand better why phone manufacturers are trying to eliminate frames. But on the bright side, we didn’t have to worry about not using the screen with one hand.
One of the most obvious features on the iPhone is the cameras. The single-lens 2-megapixel camera used in 2007 was of course on the road, but it was able to take webcam- quality photos. The iPhone 11 Pro features three 12-megapixel cameras offering features such as Portrait Mode and Night Mode. So much so that Apple’s new monster can compete with some DSLR cameras. The only thing that doesn’t change between the two phones is the Apple logo and the physical buttons on the side.
Grandfather and grandchildren are one of the best phones of their time and we can’t even imagine what awaits us in the future. For now, foldable phones and super fast 5G technology are on the horizon.
