The Parliamentary Petition Commission’s Sub-Commission on Combating Obesity questioned the taste of Coca-Cola to vary by country. Commission President Belma Row, “Scientists say that the taste of Coca-Cola in the world is different with us. We asked the factory visit, did not satisfy us very much. We asked for information from the Ministry of Agriculture,” he said.
Ministry expert Emel Molla also prepared an information note about the Coca Cola said that the committee will submit. The discussion on cola was stated in the minutes of the Assembly Commission established to determine the methods of combating obesity:
“Ministry of Agriculture General Directorate of Food Control Food Engineer Emel Molla: Legislation ‘fruit juice’ in the products we call the use of additional sugar is prohibited. Previously up to 150 milligrams / liter was allowed, currently added to the fruit juices are prohibited from adding sugar.”
Coca-Cola rejected the allegations after it was discussed at the Sub-Commission on Combating Obesity.
“As the Coca-Cola company, the safety and quality of the ingredients is the highest priority in all the products we offer. Coca-Cola’s unique aroma blend is used all over the world. Therefore, the taste of Coca-Cola is the same everywhere in the world.”
