In general, laptop models do not offer much upgrade. The user therefore has to choose the configuration he needs. There are occasional RAM or storage upgrade options, but this is not possible with critical components such as graphics cards or processors. Recently, external graphics boxes have emerged as an alternative, albeit a bit expensive. Dell Alienware Are-51m is taking a different path.
Dell made a difference in the Alienware Area-51m gaming laptop that it launched earlier in the year, providing compatible slots for the graphics upgrade option. This week, the first upgrade packages for the model were available.

The packages currently include Nvidia RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 graphics cards. Apart from the graphics cards, the package includes a Cryo-Tech 2.0 thermal module for more efficient cooling and a new adapter for more power. Users can easily install new graphics cards.
The new upgrade kits will be sold with a limited price tag of $ 700 for the Nvidia RTX 2070 and $ 1000 for the RTX 2080. After a while it will rise to the $ 1039 and $ 1639 band.
