China-based smartphone manufacturer Oppo is also making a significant effort to increase product sales in Europe, and Reno 10x Zoom stands out in the effort. Although the phone is quite impressive in terms of hardware, the software side is a bit far from attracting the attention of western consumers. However, this may change soon. Oppo announces new Android 10 based user interface.
Color OS 7 was announced in China before the event, which will be held on November 26th in New Delhi, India. Although the new version is not expected to be far from an MIUI-like Apple-inspired design language, it will have a new letter character called Oppo Sans, a new color palette, and many other new features.
Among the features that will come with the new version are the system-wide dark mode and Focus mode. Focus mode, similar to Zen Mode on OnePlus phones, allows users to move away from the phone. Performance improvements such as 25% faster boot up and 40% more efficient memory management will be included in the update, the company said.
According to Gizmochina, Color OS 7 will first be distributed to Oppo Reno, Reno 10x Zoom, Reno FC Barcelona Edition, Reno Ace and Reno Ace Gundam Edition phones on November 25th . This Reno 2 will be updated in December, while other Oppo models will have Color OS 7 in the new year.
Oppo’s former sub-brand Realme continues to use the same software even though it continues its path separately. A version of Color OS 7 also seems to find its way to Realme devices like the X2 Pro, but that version will be closer to Android than the Oppo phones get. However, Realme devices will receive this update at the earliest in February of next year.
