Razer’s tradition of removing a new keypad every two years continues this year. In 2015, Orbweaver Chroma and in 2017 Tartarus V2 keypad was released, this year will be released Tartarus Pro keypad. The new keypad is the first keypad to use optical key technology in its keys.
The first of Razer’s Tartarus keypads was released in 2013. The first keypad had 25 fully programmable keys. Four years later, the Tartarus V2 appeared on the scene and brought with it a few extra keys with more ease of use. If you look at the Tartarus Pro this year, we can say that it looks like Tartarus V2 in general.
The most important feature of Tartarus Pro is the optical key technology. Nowadays, most keyboards get only one command at the press of a key. But the optical keys in Razer’s Tartarus Pro measure how far you push the key. In this way, players’ control is much higher.
So what do these keys do for us? Razer explained this with an example: If you push the key a little in to advance your character while playing, your character will walk. However, if you press the button fully, your character will start running. To put it briefly, the controllers in the analogue game controllers came to the keyboard.
Tartarus Pro, the new member of the Tartarus series, has the same number of buttons as the previous model. Tartarus Pro has 32 programmable keys like Tartarus V2 . The configuration option of Tartarus Pro allows the keyboard to reach 64 keys at any time. As we mentioned, Razer made the keys of Tartarus Pro in two levels. These key combinations can be set with Razer’s software.
Razer’s new keypad, Tartarus Pro, has not yet been available in our country. However, those who want to buy the keypad from Razer’s own site can buy the product by paying $ 129.99 (approximately 750 TL) + shipping fee.
