WhatsApp has come up with continuous innovations and has recently announced a new update through the “Google Play Beta Program” . The update will come with two new features: Blocked contact notification and blocked contacts categorization .
This new feature will show you a small notification each time you block one. This notification is displayed on the conversation screen of the person you blocked; will be given in a bubble: “You have blocked this person. Tap to unblock it.” . A similar notification will be given when you unblock it.
These notifications will only appear on your speech screen. In other words, the person you block will not receive any notification that you have blocked it. Of course, the person you’ve blocked can come to the conclusion that you’ve blocked him from details like last seen date and profile picture, but WhatsApp won’t give this person any information that you’re blocking him directly.
Another minor innovation that WhatsApp is working on is the categorization of blocked people. The feature will automatically classify blocked contacts and provide a more organized view on the blocked contacts screen. This may be useful if you have a fluffy block list. WhatsApp will do this extraction itself. It will automatically detect and split numbers into ‘ jobs ‘ or ‘ people ‘ without having to enter any information.
Again, these features are still under construction and are not yet available. 2.19.332 beta update will not be active. It is not known when the features will be available, but we will not expect much.
